The latest improvements to job finder.
Pick your plan without leaving the app
New
- Setting a new password now signs you out on your other devices. If you reset because someone else might have had your password, they no longer stay signed in.
- Passwords now need to be at least 12 characters, and finishing a reset tells you it worked instead of leaving you guessing.
- Every page can now explain itself. Press ? and choose “Tour this page” for a short walkthrough of whichever screen you are on - the pipeline, your sources, your profile or settings.
- “Keep me signed in” on the login screen. Tick it on your own machine and you stop being signed out after 30 minutes idle; leave it off on a shared one. You can change your mind in Settings.
- All three plans are now on your settings page, with your current one marked. Changing plan goes to the billing portal, and there is no way to accidentally buy a second subscription.
- Setting up your profile now starts with a link. Paste a job you would actually apply for and we read it to fill in your stack, level, locations and salary floor - then you check it over and change whatever you disagree with.
- Archive enough postings from the same company and the archive page offers to stop showing them. It only ever asks - nothing is filtered until you say so, and if you say no it stops asking.
- Connecting Telegram is now one tap. No more looking up your numeric chat ID and pasting it in - though you still can if you prefer.
- Tailor your CV for a specific posting: which of its keywords your CV already has, which highlights to lead with, and the gaps it cannot cover. Suggestions only - your saved CV is never changed. It shares the same application slot as the cover letter, so preparing one application still costs one.
Fixed
- Resetting your password works again. The emailed link used to drop you on the home page instead of the page where you pick a new one, with no way to finish.
- Emails from us - password resets, sign-up confirmations - now actually arrive, and come from Jobfinder rather than a generic address.
- Running out of weekly applications used to tell you to upgrade with nowhere to do it. The message now takes you straight to the plans.
- Finishing setup now starts you off tracking a spread of company boards, so your queue fills up straight away instead of staying empty until you pick some yourself. If you have already chosen your own, nothing changes.
- Locations in setup are now one per line. Typing "Berlin, Germany" filed the country as a separate location and sent the wrong constraint to scoring.
Track the companies you actually care about
New
- Paste a Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby careers link to track any company, not just the ones on our list.
- We check the board really returns postings before adding it, so a mistyped link is rejected with a reason instead of quietly never sending you anything.
- The sources list is searchable, and now leads with what a company actually is rather than its raw slug.
- Filter the list down to just the sources you track.
- On a job, the buttons you act with - status, open & apply, write a letter, copy it - now stay beside you as you read instead of sitting at the far end of the page.
- The job posting itself is now shown in full rather than hidden behind a toggle, so you can read what the score is actually about.
- Set a reminder to chase an application, and the pipeline opens with what is due today - including anything you missed.
- Record what a company said. A rejection files the job away and stops the reminders; silence past the usual wait shows as no reply, without you having to mark it.
- Sort the queue by best match, newest, or the old queue order - best match is now the default, so scored jobs lead instead of being buried behind everything waiting to be scored.
- Filter to jobs posted in the last day, three days, week or month.
- The score filter can now exclude unscored jobs entirely, so asking for 70+ really means 70+.
- Every job now gets a second, independent opinion from a different AI model. You can see both numbers, and a warning when they disagree - which is the honest signal that a score is less certain than it looks.
- Set your preferences with real fields - what you work in, level, working style, locations, what to avoid - instead of hand-writing markdown. Your preferences document is written for you from them.
- On a phone, swipe a job right to shortlist it or left to archive it - the same two actions as the buttons, without hunting for them.
Fixed
- Jobs older than 90 days are no longer collected or scored. Some postings in the queue were over four years old.
- Newly published jobs are now scored before older ones that happened to be collected recently.
- Scoring no longer stops for the rest of the day when one model hits its limit; it falls back to others and keeps going.
- Scoring runs three times as often, so a backlog clears in under an hour instead of most of a day.
- The version number in the sidebar now links here.
- Importing a CV when the daily AI limit is used up now says so, instead of claiming your file could not be read.
See why a job scored the way it did
New
- Click a score to see the four dimensions behind it, the summary and any red flags - no page load.
- Every row now shows the one-line reason and the pay range, so you can decide without opening the posting.
- Disagree with a score? Tell us, and say what it should have been.
- Archive everything matching your current filter in one go, with an undo if you change your mind.
- The sources page now shows how many postings were filtered out and why, each reason linking to the setting that would widen it.
- An empty queue now says which kind of empty it is - all caught up, no sources tracked, or nothing scored yet.
- Job postings that have been taken down now drop out of your queue, and are marked as closed in the archive.
- Download everything in your account as a single file, from Settings.
Fixed
- A failed payment now shows a banner while there is still time to fix it, instead of one email you might miss.
- If your profile is incomplete, we now tell you scoring is paused instead of quietly sending you nothing.
- Open & apply now asks whether you actually applied, instead of assuming you did.
- Saving a note on a job you are waiting to hear back about no longer hides the "going stale" marker.
- Alert threshold and quiet hours are yours to set, rather than fixed for everyone.
- A job posted to several boards shows up once, not once per board.
- The source filter lists every source you can track, not just some of them.
- Press ? anywhere in the queue for the keyboard shortcuts.
- Large ingest runs no longer fail partway through, so the queue fills up properly.
Scoring built around your profile, not someone else's
New
- Your remaining applications for the week are shown in the sidebar, before you run out rather than after.
- Interview prep is saved once generated, so revisiting a job does not regenerate it.
Fixed
- Scoring now judges postings against your own stack and location - it was quietly assuming one specific engineer.
- The onboarding wizard no longer writes someone else's tech stack into your profile.
- Filtering during ingestion now uses your profile rather than a fixed one.
- Pricing shows one price and one billing period everywhere - the pricing and account pages disagreed.
- The archive loads a page at a time, so a long history opens quickly.
Getting set up, and a queue that works on a phone
New
- A setup wizard turns a few answers into your profile, and remembers where you left off if you close it.
- Telegram alerts now go to every account that has set them up.
- Sessions sign out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
- Signing up now has a confirm-password field, a show-password toggle, and real error messages.
Fixed
- Saving your profile, finishing the tour and other actions were silently failing - they work now.
- The queue is readable on a phone, and keyboard navigation keeps the focused row on screen.
